Good morning Marilyn and Illinois!

The sunshine was beautiful yesterday and it appears that today will be another sun filled day. I hope you all enjoy your day in the sun! My daughter invited a few people to my house for the superbowl game today....as long as she is doing the cooking I don't mind.  I'm looking forward to seeing a few of my friends here as well. I'm waiting for my DH and we are going out to breakfast this sunny day. Maybe the sunshine will help people to be more positive.
Have a great day everyone!

Well, I missed yesterday, so I came on today. Kinda like a weekend edition.

Friday night Dekalb beat Sycamore by 2 shots. It was like 54 to 58 at the end. Dekalb ran up the score to like 36 to 18 by the second quarter so the coach started putting in second string and third string players. I'm not sure, but I think I even saw a couple cheerleaders putting jerseys on to play too. It was a good time. I love high school sports. The excitement is always stimulating.

Yesterday I had my first second date in 20 years. I always find something about the ladies I date to make me not want to go back out with them. (Maybe its a mental block, or something.)  I have about 5-6 women at work who like me. I guess they can look past my large, yet shrinking, butt and see my personality.  So they were giving me a hard time all day on Friday. I don't know if I want a first third date with her or not? I noticed some things about her that rubbed me the wrong way.

Superbowl today. I am going to a buddy's house to watch it with a group of friends. They should have come here. I have been looking for a reason to buy this huge 73inch TV from Best Buy and that is all I need. I found some corn tostadas that have 2g protein and only 16 carbs in 3 of them. I am going to take some refried beans and fat free sour cream and chow down.  I may make some split pea soup too. I have just had a taste for it lately.

I was also thinking about making a turkey meatloaf tomorrow. I am wanting to try mixing in some TOFU with it. I guess I will cut it up in little pieces and mix it with it. I have no idea what to do with TOFU. I don't think it would make good fishing bait or anything. BUt I want to start cooking with it as a protein packed filler for meatloaf, etc... Any ideas? I really don't know if I have ever had it, or not.

OK, well thats enough for today.

God Bless

Dave

Tofu is best to me when cut into  pieces where at least in one direction they are less than 3/4 inch thick and then fried crispy.  You also want to start with tofu that has the least amount of water in it.  I am allergic to soybeans if they have not been exposed to high heat and not sure if cooking meat loaf would get me there.

So you have been forgiven?

Dave-  What is it specifically about these women that is turning you off?  Is it small stupid stuff like she makes noises when she sips her coffee or is it something more substantial, like she smokes or driks too much.  I was just wondering.  Maybe you are purposely looking for faults. rememeber if we want people to love in spite of our fault we must love others in spite of theirs.

I wouldn't even date a woman who smokes. I couldn't handle it.

I don't know.

It is a personality thing usually.

I have to have a happy woman. If she is all slumpy and talks about how bad her life is it is a turn off.

I dated a woman a couple weeks ago who was divorced twice and didn't tell me until our date. So I am thinking......... I wonder if she would be inteested in maintaining a relationship, or does she just throw it out when it gets rough. Of course she blamed it on her husbands. But if everyone is going the wrong direction maybe you should look at what side of the road your on.

It is usually my brain digging to see if I want to spend the rest of my life with someone. If there is something that is giving off bad cues, then it isn't something I really want, and I won't even try it. Its not worth the heartache at the end of the relationship.

I would rather stay single.

Good Morning,
I want to thank everyone for the well wishes when I was sick and down and out. I am comming around well now. Out of thehospital and getting around now.
I think I am going to recover.
Not much going on, But I did buy a ticket to go to Denver for 10 days in March.
I need to go and see my Gastric Bypass Doc. So I decided to give it a month to recover before I tackled the airports.
Hope all is well.
Glad you guys got some sun.

Good Morning Marilyn and the whole of Illinois.

Marilyn, I was having a hard time sleeping too last night. First, my C-pap was making weird noises ( I finally figured out why), then I couldn't fall asleep, then I woke up al least 3 times. So, I didn't wake up this morning until 8:30! This is super late for me, and it is gonna throw my whole day off!

Hubby had to work the mid/late shift yesterday, so I was nice and went ot the apartment and scraped some more on the wallpaper, I think I will head over there again this morning, later, and try to finish at least one more wall. He had a fast turnaround, since hwe had to work this morning as well.

No Superbowl plans, we aren't into football at all. I may have it on for the commercials, maybe not.

Everyone have a great day, its sunny and 30'. Is this the january thaw?

Stay safe and warm,

Hugs

Lisa
